Future Vision & Goals

Our Vision:

To see every repaired basketball net represented a life restored, and every community court become a place of hope, purpose, and transformation through Christ. Mending Nets isn't just about fixing courts, it's about rebuilding hearts, connecting generations, and creating lasting change one court at a time. We have a huge vision for the future, and want to share the vision.

1. Restore Courts Across Texas

Repair and restore 50+ basketball courts across Texas within the next 5 years, providing safe, positive spaces for youth to play, grow, and connect with the community. 

2. Mending Nets Youth Academy

Develop a Christian-based sports and life skills academy where students learn discipline, leadership, teamwork, dedication, and spiritual strength that will transition them into the work field.

3. Mobile Outreach Vehicle

Acquire a passenger van or small bus to transport youth safely to events, mentorship programs, volunteer sites, and outreach activities. This vehicle will help us reach more neighborhoods, bring teams together, and keep our minister mobile and effective.  

4. 20- Acre Retreat & Training Center

  Secure 20 acres of property to build a Mending Nets Retreat and Training Center- a home base for restoration and renewal.

This future campus will include:

• Indoor and outdoor basketball courts

• Soccer and baseball fields

• Walking and prayer trails

• Cabins and lodging for retreat

• A chapel for worship and teaching

• A classroom for training the leaders of tomorrow

• A recreation hall and dining are for fellowship

The goal for a future retreat center will be a sanctuary where young people can step away from the noise of life and encounter hope, healing, restoration, and direction.

5. Scholarship Program

• Have a program where we can sponsor youth for a Spurs training camp based on their nomination, academic grades, and exemplary hard work and dedication. 

• Donating brand new basketball shoes to inspire hard work and dedication. 

• Sponsoring a group of youth to a Spurs home game.  

6. Business Partnership 

Our goal is to have local businesses invest in the lives of today’s youth, whether through financial partnerships, offering services for building the retreat center, doing electrical work, installing lighting for the courts, painting the courts, providing necessary property, donating sports shoes, supplies, and equipment, constructing basketball courts, or contributing anything else that may be needed.

7. Establish 501 (c) (3)

Our goal is to establish our 501 c 3 to legitimize our non-profit organization to further impact our communities by securing grants and other available resources. If you want to partner with us in establishing our 501 3, please contact us.
